“I worked at the JOINT, an organization that helps elderly Jews, supported needy families, and strengthened Jewish communities in Russia. This service was always dear to me. I knew that being a Jew meant helping, being a light for others. But only when I found myself in Israel on one of the most tragic days in its history, did I truly feel what it meant to be part of this people.”

“On that fateful autumn of 2023, my heart finally made a choice.  I always knew that Jewish blood flows through me, that my people are Israel, but deciding to leave everything that was familiar to me – my home, my friends, my job – was not easy. The desire to return to my roots had been with me for a long time, but it took shape in a clear decision after my trip to Israel on October 7.”

“The roar of sirens, fear and uncertainty – and at the same time an amazing feeling of unity. Strangers on the street were willing to explain to me where to run in case of an alarm, they told me in the store how to choose products despite the language barrier. Smiles, support, hands extended to help. I realized: these are my people. A people who has stood firm and continue to live, despite everything.”

“And then I decided: I will make aliyah.”

“I hoped for a new, happy life. For friends who share my values, for the opportunity to openly talk about my faith, to be myself.

But this path was not easy. I have a son in Russia – the greatest pain in my heart. We talk on the phone, dream of meeting, but I know: one day he will come here too. I pray for this every day.”

Ezra helped me with obtaining a passport and getting an apostille. People with kind hearts helped me – those who donate to the ministry, supporting repatriates. Your help is not just money, it is a bridge that connects hearts. I did not know about you before, I accidentally found out about your foundation on social networks. But now I see – this is God’s hand, His blessing.”

“May the Lord bless you, multiply your labors, give you the strength to continue this important work. Thanks to you, people like me find a home, a family, and hope,”
