Vlad is writing this from Israel, having made Aliyah with Ezra’s help.

“Hello, my name is Vlad. I was born in Uzbekistan, in the city of Shakhrisabz but have lived all my adult life in Evpatoria, Crimea. I’m a realist, and I know that to succeed and to take place in life you need to work hard and a lot, I have a very good example- my father. He made Aliyah when he was 30 years old and started quietly with unclassified work and later opened his own business. I’m now living in Eilat working in a hotel. I work very hard, but unlike in Crimea, I’m paid a good wage for my labor and I’m treated very well.”

“I was told in the Jewish Agency before going for my consular check in Moscow that there is an organization which helps and strongly supports new immigrants. I thought it was a joke at first but, no, after getting my visa I called the number I was given. We discussed everything and then I met with Ezra’s representative, Igor, in Simferopol. We talked for a long time. They compensated me for the ticket for the trip to Moscow for the Consular check and helped with the costs of travel from Evpatoria to the airport in Simferopol.”

“Of course, leaving my Mom was very, very hard – I love her very much. I’ve been in Israel for a month now and miss her a lot. After some time, I will bring her here too.”

“I want to say a huge thank you for your help, responsiveness and kindness. May God grant you everything! I will never forget it!!”
