“In general, as a Jew, I feel that I am supposed to be in Israel and have a deep connection with that country, but today my health issues push me to go there. I don’t want to talk in detail about my health, but it’s a very dangerous issue. I was having some treatments and therapies here in Georgia but slowly and surely instead of getting better, the situation was becoming worse. So, I decided to have medical treatment in Isarel. I know that medicine is on a top level there and the chances of being healed are higher. So, that’s why I am repatriating today.”
“I have relatives there and I’m expecting some encouragement from them and help from Jewish specialist to give me a high-quality treatment. So, I hope everything should be better there.”
“You know, nowadays receiving a visa has become harder because of the war and the bad situations around Israel. So, as my health condition was getting worse, I needed to reach Israel as soon as possible. There was no consul in Tbilisi at that time and so I went to Baku in Azerbaijan to meet him. And he gave me a visa and when I was planning the flight, I called the Ezra representative. I was thinking I had everything in order but after consulting with him I realized that I still had to prepare some other documents, or otherwise I would have had problems at departure. I did everything as I was told and later, I also received financial help from Ezra. This was a big blessing to me and a good experience. “
“I’m going now alone and will miss my family, especially my wife. It’s a strange feeling to imagine being there without her. But I hope everything will be okay and we meet soon again.”
“You know, if it was not for Ezra I could be lost or turned back from the border of Israel. So, I’m very thankful to you and feel blessed. This is a big help to people so please keep doing that. You make hope alive in people and may God bless you for that.”
