Dmitri and Ekaterina, along with their daughters Arina and Aleksandra, made aliyah from St Petersburg via Azerbaijan. Many families from Russia are leaving the country via neighbouring countries to avoid the very long wait for consular checks in Russia. Ezra’s representative in Azerbaijan helped them onwards to Israel from there.

Dmitri shares their story:

My wife and I wanted to make aliyah. We have the desire to be with our people and our family!  We want to be of benefit to Israel.  We want to live peacefully and work honestly.  Of course, we want our children to be able to live in safety and mental wellbeing. It’s hard, though, to leave the place where you were born and lived your whole life.

Ezra helped us with advice and transport to the airport on departure day. We are very grateful to Ezra who helped us! I wish you prosperity and strength to continue such a necessary and noble work.
