Karolina and Maxim B from Gomel

Aliyah is important to us as it is the opportunity to return to our roots and to live in the land of our ancestors.

At some point, the world became so precarious that we were forced to question what we really wanted. We realized we wanted freedom, and now was the time to make our dreams come true.

We want to integrate into society, learn the culture and traditions of the country and implement them into our lives. For us, this is the start of a new life, full of opportunities and challenges, but we are not afraid of them; we are ready for them.

The hardest thing is saying goodbye to family, leaving behind friends, colleagues, and memories. When we leave Belarus, we renounce our citizenship, and that’s hard.

Thank you so much to everyone involved in this! It’s so gratifying to know there are people who genuinely want to help!
