“It’s time to act; I can’t put this off.”

This is a major step. At my age, many people are afraid of change, but I decided: it’s now or never. I am Jewish on my mother’s side and have felt a connection to Israel all my life. In Moscow, I had a job, an apartment, and stability. But I wanted warmth, the sea, and freedom. One day, I woke up and told myself: “It’s time to act; I can’t put this off.”

Once in Israel I want to learn Hebrew, find a job I love, and enjoy the beauty of Israel.  It is hard to leave family, friends, and loved ones behind. Of course, we’ll stay in touch, but it’s still difficult not seeing them in person.

Ezra helped me get reimbursed for the costs of getting documents apostilled. Thank you all so much! Receiving this help was a complete surprise. When I found out the foundation was Christian, I honestly couldn’t understand why they would want to help Jewish people specifically. It was explained to me, and I am still deeply moved—thank you again!
